Anne Nelson is an international media consultant who has worked with a range of major foundations and industry organizations, specializing in media transitions in developing countries. Her reports have been published by the Center for International Media Assistance, the World Association of Newspapers, PBS MediaShift, Tech President, and many other publications. As a former journalist she covered conflicts in Latin America and won the Livingston Award for her writing on the Philippines. She teaches “New Media and Development Communication” at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, and lectures around the world She is a 2005 Guggenheim Fellow and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
