Jeremy is a journalist with more 30 years of experience in Asia, covering the region for the BBC, Thomson Reuters, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and the Far East Economic Review. Since 2000 he has focused on technology. He has a regular slot on the BBC World Service. Between 2000 and 2007 he wrote a weekly column for the WSJ, Loose Wire, which focused on making technology practical. He was Thomson Reuters’ chief technology correspondent for Asia between 2012 and 2018. He currently works as a consultant to companies on disruptive technologies, and is writing a book on the origins of bitcoin. Jeremy has a MA from School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and a BA in History from the University of Exeter.
